Yeouido

This pictures episode is of the area of Yeouido.
Yeouido is basically an island in seoul, which hosts some of the most important economical and political spots koreas but even though if I got it right, the name means something like "you can have it" or "it's useless". Looking at the fact, that the national assembly is located here I guess the significance of this area changed though the name did not. In early Joseon time (which should very roughly be around 1400 till 1900, don't sue me for any incorrectnesses....) sheep and goats were grazing at this area.
These days its the penguins of politics and economics populating this spot...
But except for companies as LG and Co. also the most important Broadcasters are located here as MBC or KBS, some other source of korean export power with its pop-cultural wave having hit pan-asia starting in the 1990s...
Also the place is now a crowded busy place theres a park located there and not to forget theres access to Han river, which makes it - at least for me- an definitely useful place as Han river is one of the nicest spots to step back from the sizzling, hectic days in the city center...

So summing it up, this region definitely got the wrong name looking at its current goats living or at least grazing their work there or taking a break from it ...
Sorry, in fact you don't really see much of the real area there, but I like the geometrical pictures I took here, so bear with it (or come here and view the area by yourself!).
